Pamela Williams – The Look of Love
Celebrating The Music Of Dionne Warwick, Burt Bacharach & Hal David
Superb is the first adjective I could think of to describe this wonderful cd. Pam did her homework on “The Look Of Love”. It must have been a great undertaking because every selection expresses the warmth of Bacharach & David. The songs are timeless treasures that have a place in the hearts of all mankind. Immediately Pam captivates you with the sultry The Look of Love, this selection just melts you. You’ll Never Get To Heaven and Alfie brings back so many fond memories of a young Dionne Warwick (Pam delivers both of these classics on a silver platter). I love the Bosa Nova approach to Do You Know Your Way To San Jose , it just what you need when taking that Sunday drive. Pam’s multitalented manager Precious Iglesias lends her vocal skills to two selections I Say A Little Prayer and Walk On By (great pipes). Every selection on this cd is a keeper. So complete your Pamela Williams collection with a copy of “The Look of Love”.

Webster’s Dictionary defines elixir: a medicinal concoction (a cure all) – This cd Pamela’s way of making you feel good with her energetic playing style and glowing personality. I loaded Elixir into my cd player and from the first few bars knew that this project was a winner. The first selection Forbidden Fruit is the medicine you need to get your day started (you can feel the passion). My favorite selection is Positive Vibe, it’s is such a warm and joyful track that keep’s your groove in check. Pamela covers two great songs Floetry’s Say Yes and Al Jarreau’s Give Me What You Got. Take out that bottle of cold bubbly; dim the lights and Say Yes to your significant other (so smooth). I had a flash back to some of the best days of my life when I heard Give Me What You Got. Finally to top it off the selection Rise, is a great Sunday drive track (easy & smooth). Elixir is the medicine to cure your blues away. There is a copy waiting for you to purchase at your local record store online. Great!!!!
