LaToya London –“Love & Life” Peak Records I love this cd because it sounds like LaToya London and no one else. This song bird has got my attention, like the time I heard my first Minnie Ripperton, Randy Crawford, Rachelle Ferrell and so many others with individual styles. She got me at the first time she said baby in the first selection Scandalous. That song had other drivers wondering what I was listening to as I was driving down the road (I had a good head bounce going on). The 2004 American Idol performer will be around and will achieve superstar status. There is flexibility in her the way she delivers a song. I can see Broadway, Jazz Festivals, R&B and Hollywood (she is easy on the eyes). To get back to the music - The selection State Of My Heart has a true old school sound that you don’t hear much from singers in these times. My favorite is I Can’t Hide it is so romantic and sweet. I can appreciate the lyrics because they are so honest and to the point. There is a LoToya London cd in you local record store waiting for you to buy it.
